Thank you for your interest in learning more about joining the moderating team. I have said many times that my moderation team has it harder than any other team on Twitch. With my platforms, I strive to make a difference in people’s lives and as such value talking about the things that matter to people. Where most creators will immediately shut down conversations that can be controversial, lead to debates, hurt feelings, etc. I leave the door open for civil and respectful discourse on all topics. One of the greatest problems I’ve seen is that we teach people that there are topics we don’t talk about, instead of teaching them how to have a difficult conversation respectfully. Because of this, I need a team that follows my lead, and shares my vision for things. I do not need or want people that just agree with me to agree with me. I value having diversity in every way, including intellectually.
